Hello, friends !

I want to get explanations about the using of Lavochkin La-7 aircrafts in Bulgarian Air Force.
Some sources states, that these planes were widely used by BAF. But other sources deny this.
Where is truth ?

May be you mean Laz-7?
That plane was designed and produced in Bulgaria.

No Lavochkin fighters were used by the Bulgarian Air Force. There were squadrons and fighter groups of the Soviet Air Forces stationed in Bulgaria using those types, though (at least for a while in 1944 as out territory was in the responsibilities of the Third Ukrainian Front).

You can ask more about their locations, but I am sure they were based in Balchik for a while, and as far as I can remember somewhere around Yambol. Also, the aerial component of First Bulgarian Army shared airfields with the Soviets in Yugoslavia and Hungary in the second phase of the war (from September 1944 on).
